The aim of the proposal was the critical renovation of the original building on Lisiou 18 in the historical center of Athens (Plaka District).

The building has been a product of gradual transformations (spatial and morphological) of an original model. Its final form has been produced by the bricolage and layering of different topological modules and components.

The archaeology of the site serving as an archive provides all the necessary design elements.

Walls are left untouched while an atrium is inserted as the central core of the building.
