The infinite repetition of bookshelves creates the main structure of the library.

The hip of books, enclosed in the cubic volume, produces a central void that is the core of the library. The void, conceived as both atrium and street, combines all different scales of architecture into one space.

People are moving smoothly through a mechanic apparatus that intersects with the bookshelves and creates a chaotic “piranesian” interior.

The apparatus and the hip compose the elementary vocabulary of an architectural language.
